Starting A Meeting

How to start a meeting

  1. Look over the Pills Anonymous Local Service Manual , this is a wealth of information on how to start and run a meeting.
  2. Determine the format. This will help to determine where you will need to look for a room, or area. Face it, a participation meeting needs a different place than a Speaker Meeting.
  3. Find a Meeting spot. Many meetings are held at churches, hospitals and even parks. Just keep in mind you need to pay your own way. A free room can end quickly. Many rooms have a cost involved, heat, a/c, lights all have a cost.
  4. Let everyone know. Tell people at other meetings, rehab centers and by all means let PAWS know by sending in your Meeting Registration Form, so it can be put on the National Meeting List.
